Love the genealogy but hate the organizing? The Orderly Roots guides can help! I share a whole lot of free information on the Organize Your Family History blog (I’ve written more than 500 posts). But if you’d like a deeper dive on some specific topics, the Orderly Roots guides might be just the ticket.
The guides offer a buffet of relevant and sage advice cut into bite-sized (and easily consumed) pieces. I’m not here to tell you what to do. But I am full of suggestions that might help you implement some new organizing practices that will make your genealogy research more streamlined and more enjoyable.
The Orderly Roots guides average about ten pages, so they allow me to go into more depth than I can on a blog post. Yet they’re short enough to be read in a single sitting. These downloadable pdfs are $8.99 each; you can read them on your computer, e-reader, or other device. Or, if you want, print them out to read. However you read them, they’ll make you want to take action on creating a more organized genealogy life.
So far, three Orderly Roots guides are available:
- 10 Secrets to Organizing Your Genealogy Research
- 10 Things I Wish I’d Known When I Started Doing Genealogy
- Organizing Your Genealogy Right From the Start
I’m working on more now. Watch the blog for announcements of new titles!
