I attended last year’s St. Louis Genealogy Conference, a free conference sponsored by the LDS church, and it was terrific. So I was delighted to be invited to present at this year’s conference! The theme is Remembering Families.
The registration for the conference, which will be held Saturday, October 14, just opened. If you’re interested, you can register here. I will be presenting twice on the same topic, Going Paperless in Your Genealogy Research. If you’re a regular reader here, you know that’s a passion of mine.
The lineup looks great, with presentations on social media, maps, Missouri Digital Archives, researching Civil War ancestors, and German research, among other topics. If you plan to attend, please let me know in the comments or via email!

Janine, I so wish I lived close enough to attend! My dream is that someday you will also present back here in California, where we met at Jamboree a few years ago. You have so much to offer! Your blog topics are spot on, and it would be great to hear that in presentation form.

Jacqui, that is such a nice thing to say! If I were to propose to speak at the Jamboree, is there anything in particular you’d like to hear me speakabout?

I just found out about this a couple of days ago, and I’m not sure my registration was accepted before it filled up. I also was confused as to where is this event is held. Is it actually at the LDS church?
Janine Adams says
It’s at the LDS church in Chesterfield, not the temple that you see on Highway 40. The address is 15081 Clayton Rd., Chesterfield, MO 63017. I see that the website indicates that the conference is full, but I don’t know if that was the case when you registered. (I’m not an organizer of the event, just a speaker.) I received a confirmation email when I registered.
